(1998 – Present)

Tariq is the founder of Rashid and Co Solicitors, he established the company in 1998 following a successful career as an insurance broker. 

His passion for law started with Civil Litigation. He still continues to accept instructions in all types of Civil Litigation Work. His approach to civil litigation, with his mediation experience is to attempt resolution rather than litigation. Tariq has over 20 years of experience in Civil Litigation work. He is currently a nominated Lawyer for various large organisations including Este Medical Group LTD, which is a market leader in skin and hair treatments.

Tariq’s expertise lies in criminal defence work and in both public and private law matters. He has a broad range of experience across several disciplines, he qualified as a barrister in 2016 and practices as a higher court in-house solicitor advocate. He has represented clients in high profile cases from minor offences to serious murder cases led by King’s counsel and often appears in the Appellant court.

He is regularly instructed in complex family matters, including sexual abuse, non-accidental injury and neglect. He is recognised for his clear but compassionate advice. He remains focussed in his effective handling of cases. He is a Law society accredited children’s solicitor and supervisor while also offering mediation services.

Tariq is also fluent in English, Urdu, Mirpuri and Punjabi.
